Rhythm Pad Pro App Reviews

Hi, nice pad app, thanks! I find that most of the times that I hit the various controls at the bottom, it was accidental. (Tested on an iPhone) This kills the rhythm. The interuptions trained me to avoid the bottom of the pads, so the bottom row pads are effectively shorter than the top row. I never need those controls mid-drumming session anyway. Perhaps put the controls in a partially transparent "menu" button in a corner that is hold to activate. If it is tapped, it activates the pad its partially covering, (assuming thats what the drummer intended) but also changes to "hold" briefly, and fades back to normal. If its held for half a second or so, the menu is displayed. This would give the user the entire screen for drumming. Thanks for listening!

Pros: Realistic sounds No discernible delay Volume control for each pad Lets you configure the set, assigning the same function to more than one pad if u want ( comes in handy, eg. For hi-hat triplets etc, having 2 closed hihats on adjacent pads makes things easier) Con: No way to have the rimshot and the ride at the same time, since they are in different kits Also, having the volume of each shot being controlled by pressure, instead of your finger location on the pad (louder toward the centre) would be a lot better, if thats technically possible.

if u could use your own samples, this app would be 10x more useful. at least it has audiobus support.

Have to say I absolutely love this app. Use it frequently on the go when I dont have access to a drum kit. Been waiting for some more adjustable kit options, which were added in the current update, but those are bugged, at least on my own phone. All previous kits other than the funk and classic rock kit still work perfectly fine, but those two are stuck with only using the kick sound on all pads. Any attempt to change the sound causes the app to crash. Other than that, its very entertaining, well put together, and is surprisingly good sounding. Kudos to the devs.

Though its rather limited in customization and drum kit options, this is by far the best sounding, most responsive, and best designed drum app that Ive used on an iOS device. My only complaint( besides the 2 new classic and funk drum kits crashing when you try to swap out a kick drum pad) is that only one kit features a ride cymbal. I shouldnt have to use 2 iPods at once in order to use a ride cymbal with the pop kit( my favorite).

I really like this app and it would be my go to for writing using audio bus and DAW. But once I hide the audiobus taskbar on the side of the pads, I can never get it back. I have to quit out, go to DAW, start it and reopen Ryrhme Pad to use. The apple swipes top and bottom work fine. Ive had this app since you released it. It feels and sounds good. This is a big issue though. And my one suggestion. Give the option to split any pad or all pads in half, which would give 16 pads. Thank you and have great day! Ps. There are sweet different drum styles AND you can play with your music and make your music low so you can actually hear your beats. This app is perfection. Please keep the different styles coming!!! It is also SO easy to use anyone can use it!

This is the best of its kind no lags clear sound fun and all... But double bass drums we need a metal set something bring thrash to the beat

Awesome! I am visually impaired and use the voice over feature on my phone, which makes this app virtually accessible. This is like a drum set right in your pocket! Once I select the kit that I desired to play in my spare time, I temporarily disable the voice over function on my phone which will allow me to play the kit. The zoom system feature is also turned off so I can play three pads almost at the same time! This thing is a blast! I rated well over five stars! In fact I give it 1 million stars! This is the best! Thanks for a drum set writing your pocket. No need to assemble drum kits while traveling.

Ive actually used this app, included kits and all, on some finished recordings. I did have to adjust or quantize a bit to compensate for either my own timing or latency, but this is a very usable interface and kit selection.

My review title speaks for itself. I was looking for drum machines/finger drum pad, non of them are practical. This app turns your ipad into a great decent sounding drum kit. The only thing you need is just practicing to get the real drum vibe and bam! Plug and play make some bucks and jam with real musicians. Love IT

Wish that I could customize the kits though; mix and match the sounds. Thanks for this great app :)

Ive had this app for quite some time now And I normally dont do reviews but this app is great and even better because it supports audiobus. I love the sound of the rock kit. By far one of my favorites. Next to that would be the classic rock kit. The rest are okay but those are great. I love that I could move what sound comes from each pad so I put double bass and double snares on the rock kit for fast fills. This app Is awesome. 5 stars.

Great to use on the go and when I just need something to play.

I have literally spent hundreds of dollars in fancy drums apps that look fancy, but perform poorly. This one has real drum sounds. And have the pads big enough to do double kicks and fast rolls. Latency is low enough where theres no loss of sound on any of the pad hits. Quite the best! Only one suggestion: more drum kits, please!

I have loved this app since the day DLd it! All of a sudden Im a monster on the drums.
